Atrium: An interior, often sky-lit, multi-deck, open area of a ship. Typically, atriums are centrally located near elevators, shops, restaurants, cafés, and guest services. Shipboard atriums can extend anywhere from two to ten decks or more.

Sinoatrial (SA) Node: A region of modified muscle cells in the right atrium that sends timed impulses to the hearts other muscle cells, causing them to contract; the hearts pacemaker.

Pulmonary Vein: The vein that carries oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium of the heart. Veins carrying oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.

Auricle: The chamber of the heart that receives blood from the body returned to the heart by the veins. Also referred to as atrium.
