Minor Penalties: Any player, other than a goalkeeper, will be ruled off the ice for two minutes during which time no substitute will be permitted. A bench minor penalty involves sending off the ice one player of the team that the penalty is assessed against for a period of two minutes. Any player, except a goalkeeper, of the team may be called upon to serve the penalty by the manager or coach, who will inform the playing captain and the player chosen will go to the penalty bench and serve the penalty. If while a team is short-handed by one or more minor or bench minor penalties, the opposing team scores a goal, the players in the penalty box can come back on the ice, no matter how much time is left on their penalty
