Brooklyn: A ball that hits on the opposite side of the player's normal pocket; i.e, a Brooklyn for a right handed player would hit on the 1-2 pocket; usually refers to getting a strike in the wrong pocket; see also crossover. Called a Jersey in some locations of the country.
